Africa Health ExCon, Cairo, Egypt - Healthcare International Group (HCIG) was proud to take a leading role at Africa Health ExCon 2025 by hosting our dedicated panel discussion, “Egyptian Healthcare on the Global Stage: Standards, Trust, and the Future of Medical Tourism.” As Egypt advances its vision of becoming a world-class destination for medical and wellness tourism, HCIG remains committed to turning that vision into reality through meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and strategic action.

Our panel was designed not as just another conference session, but as a high-impact exchange of ideas and expertise. It brought together leaders from Egypt’s healthcare authorities, accreditation bodies, private providers, and international experts to discuss how we can set new global benchmarks for patient care, build lasting trust with partners around the world, and position Egypt as a truly competitive medical tourism destination.

By hosting this vital conversation, HCIG demonstrated our belief that moving Egypt forward requires more than promises—it demands practical collaboration between government institutions, accreditation leaders, healthcare providers, and the international community. We see these conversations as essential steps toward developing a healthcare system that meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient experience for visitors from around the globe.

We’re especially grateful for the remarkable insights shared by our distinguished panelists. Dr. Reem ElAdl skillfully moderated the session, ensuring a focused, productive dialogue. Dr. El Sayed Elokda of the General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR) outlined the critical role of national accreditation in building patient trust. Dr. Ahmed Safwat, board member of Healthcare International Group, offered practical strategies for advancing our industry. Bonnie Eve Zdraveva of Global Healthcare Accreditation (GHA) brought an international accreditation perspective, while Asmaa Salman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) emphasized the importance of business development and marketing in achieving Egypt’s medical tourism vision. Dr. M. Abdel Aziz, international health tourism expert and CEO of Sun Book – UK, added valuable insights on global market trends and patient expectations.

Under the leadership of our CEO, Dr. Amr Abbass, HCIG is committed to playing a central role in this national transformation. We’re not just talking about the future of medical tourism in Egypt—we’re actively working to build it. By hosting these conversations, supporting accreditation journeys, and partnering with both public and private sector leaders, HCIG is helping lay the foundation for Egypt to become a trusted, high-quality hub for international patients.

At HCIG, we believe that real change begins with real dialogue. Here’s to partnerships that deliver results, to conversations that lead to action, and to a future where Egypt is recognized worldwide for safe, high-quality, and patient-centered healthcare.
